Piper Carafa-Olson
I create a welcoming environment where we’re invited to tap into compassion, courage, and resilience—both on and off the mat. I’m passionate about joy, learning through nature’s rhythms, collective and individual wellbeing, and the integrative tools of yoga that support more ease and freedom in daily life.
In my classes, I offer a steady, encouraging presence that honors the innate wisdom of the body. I see yoga as an ongoing journey and weave in philosophy, breathwork, and self-inquiry to help students cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves. My classes blend active and restful energy—embracing play and lightness alongside reflection and nourishing stillness.
In addition to teaching vinyasa yoga, I’ve worked with yoga in eating disorder treatment and am certified in Yoga for 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR). I’ve completed extensive trauma-informed yoga training and believe deeply in the healing potential of somatic practices.
I’m currently a student at the University of Washington, preparing for graduate study in mental health counseling. When not studying or teaching, you’ll find me outside—swaying to music, cooking with friends, or wandering the city on long walks with my partner and our dog, always reconnecting to land, trees, and sea.
